If you want intense action with a challenge that few games rival, look no further than this modern Ninja Gaiden installment. Obviously, this also decreases its appeal on the 360, but it is still a great game and many collectors still prefer to have a physical copy.
Since it has be re-released on XBLA and PSN, the resale price of physical copies has been significantly reduced. For the longest time, it was in high demand on the aftermarket. This cult-classic action/adventure can finally be found under $10 without too much effort. This under-appreciated title is one of Sega’s last great masterpieces.

The Panzer Dragoon series is a collection of cult-classics on the ill-fated Sega Saturn, but the on-rails shooter made a stunning return on the XBox. You should be able to find the combo disc just about anywhere for next to nothing - when buying online, you’re mainly just playing for shipping. What’s better is JSRF was combined with Sega GT for an XBox pack-in disk. JSRF is an incredibly unique and entertaining game that should not be overlooked. The original Jet Grind Radio from the Dreamcast is still one of my all-time favorites, and its sequel on the XBox simplifies the gameplay a bit in some areas, bring the story forward a number of years, and puts some XBox polish on the already slick graphical style.
And obviously, Halo 2 is also worth checking out if you like the original.

If you are not a die-hard PC gamer with many high-end FPSs under your belt, but are interested in trying the genre out on a console, Halo is your ticket. While it may be overrated, there is no doubt that Halo is still one of the best console FPSs out there and is the cornerstone of the XBox library. Also, if you are fortunate enough to have a 360, I have marked the backwards-compatible titles with this icon . This time, I’ve also split up the list to separate the games that are backwards compatible with the 360 from those that are not. While a handful of these games might have follow-ups on the 360, I think you’ll find that the majority of these games are still quite relevant today and are still worth looking into - especially for their rock-bottom prices. A shame, because MM3 is my favorite of the 3.For my next revision to the Cheapest Games series, we’ll take a new look at the original Xbox. So unless MS had a change of heart, I can't see them porting it to PC. Apparetnly MS wasn't willing to pay any $ for it, so no 360 bc. He asked them about MM3 and was told that DICE still had legal ownership of the engine MM3 used. I used to cry foul so loudly about MM3 not making the 360 bc list every month on a forum I used to post on, that a Swedish forum member actually tracked down one of the managers at Digital Illusion (now EA DICE) after some press conference. There was legal issues with even making MM3 backward compatible on the 360. Angel Studios that did the development for both, went on to become Rockstar San Diego and are now owned by Take-Two, so MS might not even have all the rights to remaster it. So I suspect it wouldn't be as simple as releasing the original editions on Steam. MM2 in particular has really baffled me, as I couldn't even get it to run on my WinXP SP3 rig. I'd love to see them come to Steam with support for Steam play as they're 3 of my all time favorite arcade racers.I still own the MM 1 & 2 CD-ROMs and there are issues getting them to run on new systems. I'm a big fan of the series though, so I'll bite.
